Notice of the Launch of New Service Notice

The services below will change with the launch of the new service:

(1) Termination of the Pre-sale Reservation Service and start of reservations one year in advance
The Pre-sale Reservation Service will end on September 14.
Reservations may be made up to one year in advance from October 1.
*One-year advance reservation is limited to some products.
*There is a limit to number of the seats that can be reserved.
*Payment will be made at the time of reservation.
*One year in advance, you can select your desired train from the tentative train service schedule, and we will confirm the train, time, and seats after 2:00 p.m. one month prior to your boarding date, and notify you to your registered e-mail address.

(2) After-hours reservation service
After-hours reservation service will end on September 14 (11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next day)
After September 16, reservations (payments) can also be made between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day.
*Excluding during system maintenance.
*Seat maps are not available. You will be notified of your confirmed seat at 5:30 a.m. the following day to your registered e-mail address.
*A maximum of 3 people can be reserved in one reservation between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next day.

(3) Revision of Agreement
The Smart EX Service Use Agreement will be revised effective September 16.

(4) Changes to Hayatoku discounted tickets
The names of the following Hayatoku fares will change effective September 16.
・Hayatoku→Hayatoku3
     →Hayatoku7
・Hayatoku-Green Wide→Hayatoku-Green Wide3
・Hayatoku-Green KODAMA→Hayatoku-Green KODAMA3
・Hayatoku-Family NOZOMI→Hayatoku-Family NOZOMI3
・Hayatoku-Family KODAMA→Hayatoku-Family KODAMA3

In addition, Hayatoku-28 Wide is newly released!

(5) 3D Secure will be introduced at the time of reservation, etc.
From September 16, we will introduce a personal identification authentication service (3D Secure) recommended by credit card companies at the time of reservation, etc., to ensure safer credit card payments.
You may not be able to use Smart EX if your credit card does not support 3D Secure, the authentication fails, or the security code is unknown.

(6) The Smart EX prices will be revised.
We will revise the prices of Smart EX effective September 30.
