〇 Partial Revision of Smart EX Terms and Conditions
We would like to inform you that the issuance of paper "EX Reservation Slips (Seat Information)" will end in February 2027 (tentatively scheduled).
In addition, due to clarification of system specifications and other factors, we will partially revise the "Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen Internet Reservation Service Membership Agreement."
We will also make partial revisions to the "Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen Internet Reservation Service Privacy Policy" and the "For European Economic Area ("EEA") and UK Customers" and "For Thai Customers" sections of the "Supplement to Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen Internet Reservation Service Privacy Policy (the "Global Privacy Policy")."

Please note that the revised membership agreement and other terms will be displayed when you log in to Smart EX for the first time on or after Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

〇 Termination of Boarding Service Using "Tickets"
The boarding service using "Tickets" will be terminated at the end of March 2027 (tentatively scheduled).
After the service ends, please use a "Transportation IC Card" or "QR Ticket" for boarding.

Please note that there will be no changes to the boarding methods for Smart EX within Japan.
