Change in the Request Period and Response Time of the "Pre-sale Reservation Request" and Partial Revision of "Global Membership Agreement" Important

Thank you for using Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen Internet Reservation Service.

From November 15, 2020, the request period and response time of the "Pre-sale Reservation Request" will change, allowing you to check the result of your request in advance.
* "Pre-sale Reservation Request" is a service for which you can make a request for reservation up to 7 days prior to the date tickets go on sale (1 month before the departure date).

[Request Period] From 7 days prior to the date tickets go on sale (starting at 5:30 am) to 9:30 am on the date tickets go on sale
[Cancellation Period] 10:00 am on the date tickets go on sale
[Response Time] Processed in order after 10:00 am on the date tickets go on sale. Result will be emailed to your registered email address(es) within the same day.

■ After Change (After Sunday, November 15 * Boarding date of Tuesday, December 22 or after)
[Request Period] From 7 days prior to the date tickets go on sale (starting at 5:30 am) to 7:30 am on the date tickets go on sale
[Cancellation Period] 8:00 am on the date ticket go on sale
[Response Time] Processed in order after 8:00 am on the date tickets go on sale. Result will be emailed to your registered email address(es) within the same day.
* Please not that tickets can be picked up from 10:00 am on the date tickets go on sale.
* The number of pre-sale requests is limited.


(Example) When boarding on Sunday, January 3
[Request Period] Thursday, November 26 5:30 am to Thursday, December 3 9:30 am → Changed to 7:30 am
[Response Time] Thursday December 3 10:00 am → Changed to 8:00 am or later
[General Ticket Sale Date] Thursday, December 3 10:00 am or later → No change
[Ticket Available for Pick Up] Thursday, December 3 10:00 am or later → No change


- To prepare for service switchover, the use of "Pre-sale Reservation Request" is restricted during the following period.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask for your understanding.

[Restriction Period]
- Boarding date of Monday, December 14・・・Not available.
Please make your reservation from 10:00 am on the date tickets go on sale.
* During Saturday, November 14 5:30 am to 10:00 am, you can select pre-sale request for Monday, December 14 but you cannot make a request for it.
- Boarding date of Tuesday, December 15 to Monday, December 21・・・Request period is restricted.


We will also partially revise the "Global Membership Agreement" in accordance with the above-mentioned service change.
