Regarding the fare revision of Smart EX accompanying the utilization of the railway barrier-free fare system in the Nagoya region.
JR Central will advance the installation of barrier-free facilities by making better use of “the Railway Barrier-free Fare System,” introduced by the central government in December 2021.
Accordingly, fares in Smart EX will be revised, effective for reservations made from April 1, 2024, in the following sections of Tokaido Shinkansen.

*The fare will be also increased by 10 yen for Green Cars and non-reserved seats in Ordinary Cars in the above train sections.
*In making reservations for “S Work Seat”/“S Work P Seat,” and “EX Kodama Green Hayatoku3,” the fare will be similarly raised by 10 yen for the above train sections.
*There will be no fare revision for other sections than the above.
