Notice about Credit Card registration/change operation during system maintenance of “User Authentication Service” <May 21st (Mon) 0:30am to 8:30am JST>
In Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen Internet Reservation Service, if the customer has been authenticated by “User Authentication Service (3-D Secure)” provided by credit card issuers, it is unnecessary to enter a security code (numbers found on the back of your credit card) when making a reservation etc.*
However, due to system maintenance, you cannot use “User Authentication Service (3-D Secure)” during the following time (Japan Standard Time).
May 21st (Mon), 2018 0:30 am to 8:30 am (Japan Standard Time)
If you register or change your credit card during the hours above, you will need to enter the security code each time you reserve, etc. train even though you are using the credit card that can use “User Authentication Service (3-D Secure)”.
You will not be required to enter the security code anymore by re-registering the credit card from “Membership Info.” menu after system maintenance ends and “Verified” mark is displayed at credit card information field.
