How to change/refund a discounted round-trip product

Here we show you how to change/refund a reservation for a discounted round-trip product.

Regardless of "First boarding" or "Second boarding " on the reservation screen, the first stretch that you board is referred to as the "outbound" and the stretch you board after that is known as the "return."

The details in the screen shots below (such as boarding date, train name, departure/arrival schedules, etc.) are examples for reference.

How to change/refund a discounted round-trip product

There are two types of changes available for discounted round-trip products; namely a "change both first and second boarding" and "change one-way only."

Change both first and second boarding

You can make changes to the collective round trip if it is prior to the scheduled departure of the outbound train and neither the outbound stretch nor the return stretch has yet been used.

Select "My Trips - Overview" from the main menu and tap the reservation you want to change (either the outbound or the return stretch.)

Tap "Change."

Confirm the details of the round-trip then tap "Change both first and second boarding."
After that it is the same process as a new reservation for a round-trip product.

Change one-way only

You can also select the journey you want and make changes one-way only.

Select "My Trips-Overview" from the main menu and tap the reservation you want to change (either the outbound or the return stretch).

Tap "Change."

Confirm the details of the round-trip reservation and then tap "Change one-way only."
After that it is the same process as a new reservation for a round-trip product.

Claiming a refund for a discounted round-trip product

There are two types of refunds available for discounted round-trip products; namely a "Refund both first and second boarding" and "Refund one-way only."

Refund both first and second boarding

A refund for both first and second boarding will be issued provided that both stretches of the round-trip are unused; the tickets have not yet been picked up; and it is prior to the train's departure time. If this is what you want, tap "Refund."

Refund one-way only

If you have already used one way, picked up your tickets, or it is past the scheduled departure time of your train, then tap "Refund one-way only" when it appears.
